‘Firebird’: The Monash Academy Orchestra

October 7, 2018 @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

As the winner of the 2017 Monash Aria and Concerto Competition, Hamish Gould has been invited to perform with the Monash Academy Orchestra for their final concert of 2018: ‘Firebird’. Hamish will be performing arias by Ian McQueen, Aribert Reimann and G.F. Handel, including the world premiere of McQueen’s concert aria ‘Achior’s Confession’.

Besides Hamish’s performance, the Monash Academy Orchestra will also be playing a new work by Iain Grandage, commissioned for this concert, as well as Stravisky’s legendary work: ‘The Firebird Suite’. Under the guidance of conductor Natalia Raspopova, this concert will explore a range of new works from the Baroque era to present day, and is sure to be as exciting as it is unique. The concert is completely free, but booking tickets is recommended to make sure you get a seat. See the link in the details section below.
